Backyard Picnic

  • Our Backyard Picnic package is intended those that want to plan a picnic and want the process to be as simple as possible.

    We love to help event planners, hostesses & hosts plan unique events with the least amount of stress possible.

    It’s our hope that more memorable gatherings will occur when the planning and execution becomes fun and easy.

  • Simply select your headcount within the booking tool below, fill out the questionnaire and submit payment.

    This will place a hold on your card while our team reviews the booking.

    We will review promptly and accept/deny the booking, your card will be processed and you’ll receive a welcome email.

  • Esters Wine Shop & Oyster Bar can deliver food, wine and beer from this menu.

  • Cancellations made 72 hours prior to your picnic start time will receive an 80% refund.

    Cancellations made 72 hours-24 hours prior to your picnic start time will receive a 50% refund.

    Cancellations made 24 hours prior to your picnic start time will receive no refund.

  • Reschedule credit of 100% with us.

    Typically for rain, which fortunately is rare.

  • Please try to let us know a couple of days before so we can plan accordingly.

    We are intentionally lenient with headcount changes as we know event RSVPs and headcount can be quite volatile and can fluctuate daily the weeks leading up to your event.

  • Fortunately, we also have low to the ground seating with rugs, pillows and low picnic tables for up to 150 people as well.

    Feel free to inquire about blending chair seating and ground seating for your event.

  • $120 set up fee.

    $40 per seat.

    $100 fee for us to pick up our inventory next day.

    Outside of Santa Monica, a minimal travel fee.

    Gratuity not included.

  • Scaled according to your headcount:

    • Inventory: white banquet chairs, tables, umbrellas, umbrella bases, buffet table.

    • Tablescape: tablecloth, charger, entree plate, salad plate, silverware, water glass, wine glass, linen napkin.

  • We will show up before event start time and set up, typically being set ~30 minutes before start time.

    We can come by and pick everything up same day ($0) or next day ($100), whichever you prefer.

    Some of our add-ons involve staff members remaining on-site.

    We do not expect you to clean our dishes.

  • 5 People - 150 People.

    For groups over 150 please email/call us.

  • In order of popularity: Ester’s catering + beer/wine packages, floral arrangements, premium Bose speaker + microphone, string lighting, polaroid cameras, ice cream cart w/ or w/o attendant, photographer, live guitarist, DJ, violinist, guided soundbath meditation, 17 foot movie screen w/ projector, yoga, pilates, tarot card/palm reader, videographer, drone videographer.

  • Feel free to ask about these items, we may be able to accommodate your request:

    Guided wine tasting, pizza oven on-site w/ option for pizza crafting class, tacos on site, pop-up bars w/ or w/o bartenders, passed hors' d’oeuvres, heat-lamps, caricature artist, craft beer flights with guided lesson, karaoke, hibachi style pop-up, customized welcome/event signage, balloon arrangements, vintage arcade games.

  • Virtually anywhere: backyards, event venues, patios, courtyards, creative spaces of your choosing.
